Candi Ijo ancient Temple and Brexy Stone Quarry

The World Heritage Prambanan Temple which is 9th century Hindu temple complex featuring structures with stone spiers and sculptures, located in the suburb of Yogyakarta in Central Java is a famous Hindu temple.

To the south of the Prambanan temple, there is a small ruins called Candi Ijo. On the west side of it, there is Candi Boko ruins. Both are on a top of hills, overlooking the Prambanan Temple from above.

Until a couple of years ago, there was a ruin of ruins that was never known, but now it is restored and it is crowded as a tourist destination.

It is the "Brexy Stone" used for restoration of the temple ruins. "Brexy stone" is characterized by light gray stones and easy processing.

Just below the Candi Ijo ruins there was the quarry of "Brexy Stone". And now it is popular as a sightseeing spot.

This Quarry already closed for mining now, but we still can get Brexy Stone in another quarry. 
 
"Brexy stone" can also be finished into blocks or tiles. If it is applied to the wall, the thickness is about 15 - 25 mm. Finishing surface available  for NATURAL / SAWN CUT .

More than half a year has passed since I moved Horas Indonesia's office to Ungasan from Kuta 's Majapahit Street.

I was indecisive as to where I should put the signboard and how to design it.
Then time has gone by and on.....

The design was decided at last, ordered materials and construction.

HORAS logo with white paint is clearly emerging on the background with walls randomly arranged with Candy Stone's black and red.

Although it located just behind the famous Tourist Spot GWK, people sometimes find a difficult to find us. That's why I decided to installed a signboard at the intersection of Jl.Merak I and Jl. Pemukiman.

Since that, people more easy to find us and the road also became bright at night with this!

Big rain. Delay of stone block supply

I have to inform you that according to the news, the fuel price increases in the last month of the blog.

Without any major disruption, as usual traffic jams,  

It becomes to December without major changes.

But, climate was slightly different from previous years in Indonesia this year.

 

Previous years, in Indonesia will begin to rain in October.

But,in this year, it has started to rain from the beginning of December, it's heavy rain.

When you finally think it started to rain, it is extremely a lot of rain.

Last week, in the Central Java of Banjarnegara, 

landslides occurred in size of approximately 10 hectares.

Current search dogs also participated, has continued to search activities  

but the mud make process of searching seems to be difficult.

In the quarry where stone materials will be taken , block of raw materials can not be proceed

because of the impact of heavy rain.

The government has recommended to citizens to not  approaching the loose area of the rivers and land. Of course it caused effect for the Natural Stone schedule of processing.
For this reasons, there might be got some delay during the rainy season until March.

For the customers, we recommended to arrange the order time with enough margin of time to avoid any crucial delay of supply.

Starting Vacation of Idul Fitri

Most people in Indonesia are Muslims.

Even in Bali where Hindus account for the majority,  

the influence is still strong, because many workers are from Java Island.

Vacation of Idul Fitri will be a homecoming for everyone. Time for them to go home.

This year, Idul Fitri is scheduled for July 28th.

I take to prepare for homecoming from one week before the holiday roughly.

Start of homecoming rush was the 21st this year.
   
Without congestion, in Bali, it is quiet today.

Also in the building construction site of PT.HORAS INDONESIA, 

The workers are using this vacation to go home to meet and gathering with their beloved family. 

Site will become busy again at 10th of August.

Kerobokan stone

PT. HORAS INDONESIA introduce many kinds of stone from Indonesia, even almost of all natural stone is from Java. But,Bali, is Island of Gods also have some kinds of unique stones.

Bali's original stones mostly use for Traditional Temple, Banjar and traditional house. But after Luxury resort in Bali using Balinese traditional stone in their design, the image of Balinese stone has changed into COOL AND CHIC!

And now many client from Jakarta, Europe, Asia want to use Balinese traditional stone, to make unique and Cool design. We introduce the details of Kerobokan stone;

One is Original Kerobokan stone, the origin is from West Bali. The color is depend on quarry, Yellow and Dark Brown, Dark Gray.

Two : is East Java origin. We call Black Kerobokan, because the motif is very similar with Kerobokan stone, but little bit harder than Kerobokan. The color is dark brown.

Three : is also East Java origin. We call Sarwo Genap. Looks little bit Gray and Green.
